No More Dance

Sometimes I wish Ashley had a talent in something that didn't cost so much money. I mean geez we spend on Ashley's dance classes in one month, what we spend on one of Brad's baseball teams in one year. Yes, I have brief moments of wishing there was no more dance. But then I see Ashley's love for dance and realize that the sacrifice of paying for Ashley's dance classes, the dance costumes, etc. are worth every penny. I mean how can you say no to this Ballerina?

Stable Liver equals Normal Life

Ashley's appointment at the liver clinic today went well. We have a plan in place and it may just give Ashley a more normal life. Hard to believe but we are optimistic. Is it really possible for Ashley to have a normal life? Not really, she does have a serious life threatening liver disease but she can have a much more normal life than she has experienced in the last 10 1/2 years. And she is on a low starch diet to help her with her constipation iss

My only day off is Good Friday but unfortunately we will be spending that day at the Shands Hospital Liver Clinic. But I have to say it has been a blessed week. In today's economic times, I am blessed beyond belief to have a job that fits perfectly with my family life. A new job you say? Yes, I interviewed for this job in January, they hired someone else and prayers were answered when they offered me the job just about two months after they interviewed me. The blessing is not only a new job but the person I replaced. The person who trained me, is a sweetheart and it was kind of sad to see her go. We became friends instantly. We believe it was a divine intervention. My new job is working as secretary for the pastor of a small Baptist church. It's a perfect fit, I work part-time from 9 am to 1 pm and it offers flexibility.
